21-Day Fasting and prayer

Friday, January 24, 2025

“But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly."

Matt.6.16-18 NKJV

In our walk with God, there are spiritual exercises we engage in from time to time. And one of them is fasting. This means abstaining from food and distractions for a time in order to focus our minds on God. The Christian is not an ordinary physical person. You are a spirit who lives in a body and has a mind. This exercise benefits the real you tremendously. You can access the voice of God with clarity. We will commence our 21 days of fasting today, breaking at 6pm daily to seek the Lord for direction for this new year. Each day, we will get on the Prayer Line at 6pm to pray together and "break bread" together. Plan to participate. It will be a great blessing to you. Notice in the above scripture, the Lord indicates there is a reward for fasting. Hallelujah! It's Our Year of Completeness!
