Our Pastor

Chigozi Owhondah was born in Sheffield, England and raised in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria. He received Christ as his Lord and Savior at age 16 and has been on fire for the Lord since then. As a teenager, he served earnestly in various capacities in his local church and was eventually ordained an Assistant Pastor in his early twenties.

Chigozi is called as an Evangelist, with a mandate to take the saving and healing power of God to the nations of the world. Being very conscious of this calling, he preached on the streets, college campuses, transit buses, and to everyone who would listen, whilst in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria. He continued to do this even upon relocating to Slough, England in 2006. His passion for souls continued to grow as he ministered to people both as part of his local church and embarking on personal, one-on-one evangelism sessions.

In 2011, he married his precious wife, Judith who also loves the Lord. He moved to the USA in 2014.

In 2018, he was led by the Lord to begin a Bible Study to help believers grow in their faith. In March 2022, Chigozi and Judith answered the call of God to plant a church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Then, Light Embassy was born. Chigozi and Judith are excited to propagate the Gospel of Christ not just in Baton Rouge and surrounding cities, but ALL AROUND THE WORLD!

Chigozi and Judith are blessed with three gifts from the Lord: Gabrielle, Chiburoma, and Joshua.
